Metelec UK
Metelec UK is part of Gindre Duchavany, Europe’s largest manufacturer of copper extruded bars. Our relationship with Gindre allows us to provide extensive product capacity to meet our customers’ growing needs.
We are one of the UK’s largest stockholders of copper bars, busbars, copper profiles and copper components.
With a turnover of more than £30 million, we are a trusted supply chain partner to a growing number of switchgear specialists. We serve a wide variety of sectors including general construction, hospitals, commercial buildings and data centres.
At the heart of our success is continuous investment in facilities. In 2021 we invested £250,000 in new punching and bending machinery. In 2023 there will be a further six-figure investment in state-of-the-art CNC bending machinery. Investing in specialist machinery is supporting the rapid growth of our components business.
We recognise that product quality is paramount to our customers. All stock items are traceable back to producer certification in accordance with BSEN ISO 9002:Pt2 2015.
Metelec Ireland
In 2020 Metelec established an EU base in Ireland. This is important and allows us to manage tariffs following Brexit. We continue to invest in our commitment to the Irish market.
Gindre Duchavany
Gindre Duchavany is the largest manufacturer of copper extruded bars in Europe. The company extrudes more than 40,000 tonnes of copper profile each year and has a turnover of circa €400 million.
